*I made a factual error at work last week and got a source irritated with me to the point of sending a letter to my editor, who wasn't concerned. I remain concerned about the thought process that led me to make the mistake in the first place and worry that there have been other instances about which no one said anything.

*My determination to be Juno for Halloween out of sheer laziness (don jeans, stuff bag of clothes under t-shirt, pull hair into ponytail, act surly) held a full four months.


*There's no daylight savings here, so as soon as the U.S. "falls back," Wisconsin and I will be 8 hours apart instead of 7. I don't know yet if this will make it easier for me to make phone calls after work/before bed. I've been pretty bad about making phone calls.

*All-you-can-eat seafood on the West Coast is pretty much amazing.
