the world is big and the words are small

I am probably on the verge of creating a slightly more serious version of this blog to complement the current pastiche of "random things that interest me plus photos of my life," and to focus more on local news. We keep saying at the News Republic that if we don't cover Baraboo things, no one else does, and once I check in on how not to compete with my own paper, I'd like to talk more about what goes on there.

Also, state politics are really pawing at my attention span right now, and I suspect it is going to be quite an eye-opener to be outside the Madison bubble for the next gubernatorial race.
