Today was "career day" for Baraboo students. Local careerpeople demonstrated their careers. Most importantly, how did I live 24 years thinking "heartworm" was a metaphorical name for a parasite that actually lived inside guts or skin or somesuch?

No, it turns out, worms actually take up residence inside your dog's heart. This is both horrifying and amazing.
