1. A poem of mine published at this month's issue of elimae, a little e-mag that specializes in brevity. Brevity has never been my specialty, so I find it interesting (informative?) that this is my first publication since 2007.
2. You know how when daylight savings changes happen and you wake up and you wonder if your phone has adjusted itself in the night correctly? My computer says the same thing, however, and they can't both be wrong. They were manufactured in the 21st friggin' century, after all. Regardless, there's a moment where you exist completely outside of time. Is it scary? I find it pleasant, like walking through fog and only dimly seeing other people.
3. One of the reasons I keep going to the occasional yoga class is because when I was a person who never did yoga, I could not touch my toes or the ground without considerable difficulty and bending of knees. Now I can easily, without bending, so I keep going to classes hoping I will learn another impossible thing. One day I hope to fly. Or headstand.
